My sis who is living in Prague was happy to learn about our move to Finland. Apparently, we will be in the same continent, we’re going to be near each other and probably spend a weekend over there *wink, compared to visiting her from Asia. With Czech Republic recently joining the Schengen border-free zone, our doors are becoming closer, if not for the budget constraint. So even if we’re already in Europe, a visit to Prague is another dream destination. After checking online travel agencies for cheaper flight deals, travelling to Prague at this time appears to be an expensive family destination for us. But definitely, it’s one of our future destinations.

At the beginning of January when holidays are over and work resumed, my hubby’s company started to take note of their staff’s vacation plans for year 2008. My hubby informed his office that it will be in December, destination Asia. You can guess where.
Earlier, we’ve been discussing whether we’re going to have our vacation during summer or winter. Actually, summer is also a good time coz kids will have their school break so we can take a longer vacation but we plan to stay put this time. We still have a lot of places to explore in Finland and summer is the best time to do that with the sun shining brightly. As experienced during our trip to Helsinki last December, it was dark and cold to tour the city and photos were mostly dim. So a winter escape this year to a warmer region would be really great. Haven’t we tasted our first winter experience in Finland already? Brrr.. And we miss our dear family and friends, the spicy-licious food over there, shopping, more getaways, not to forget the Christmas celebration. It’s kinda lonely here. I can’t wait for our family vacation.
